Our Composite post insulator for station includes three parts:

1. Outer insulating material: high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, which can ensure the highest possible durability of sheds, outstanding tracking and erosion resistance.

2. Solid insulating core: epoxy reinforced fiberglass, which ensure composite post insulator has excellent mechanical and dielectrical properties.

3. Flange: the fiberglass core is fitted onto.


Advantages for polymer post insulator compare to porcelain post insulator:

1. Light weight: the weight of composite station post insulator is almost one third of porcelain station post insulator.

2. Good transportation and installation: Since composite post insulator is light weight and non-brittle, it is easy to transport and install and reduce risk of handling damage.

3. Outstanding pollution performance and flashover resistance.

4. Excellent seismic performance provides safety and reliability.

5. Leakage current control due to hydrophobicity.

6. Low weight and maintenance is free for cost savings.


Standards for composite post insulator:

Below 245kV we reference IEC61952; it is composite station post insulators for substations with a.c. voltages greater than1000v up to 245kV.

We also produce polymer insulator post type in accordance with ANSI C29.19: solid rod fiberglass insulator-Apparatus post type.

IEC61109 is commonly referenced by China insulator manufacturers.


Voltage class and cantilever strength for composite insulator post type:

Our station composite post insulator voltage class includes: 15kV, 25kV, 36kV, 45kV, 52kV, 69kV, 72kV, 110kV, 132kV, 169kV, 220kV, 245kV, 345kV, 400kV, 500kV.

Our composite post insulator for station has the following cantilever strength class: 4kN, 6kN, 8kN, 10kN, 12kN, 13.5kN, 15kN,20kN.


Application for composite post insulator:

Composite post insulator like most of composite insulators consists of a cylindrical solid insulating core made of resin impregnated fibres which bearing the mechanical load. Polymer post insulator core is protected by outer housing made of silicone rubber. The load is being transmitted to the fibre glass core by metal end fittings. Composite post insulator can be used for substation, switchgear and electrical apparatus.
